Marketing & Communications Director
Position Summary
The Marketing & Communications Director will oversee The Alexander Foundation’s website, e-mail marketing, and social media strategy. A strong marketing and communications strategy allows TAF to increase awareness of TAF mission and programs, build stronger relationships with other LGBTQIA+ organizations, increase organizational fundraising, and involve community members in supporting the Mission of The Alexander Foundation.
Expectations

Estimated Time Commitment: 8-12 hours per month

Financial Commitment: Board members of the Alexander Foundation are expected to contribute a minimum of $500 annually, which can be fulfilled through direct donations or by raising funds through various activities. This commitment helps ensure the foundation's sustainability and supports its mission effectively.

Leadership: Serve as the strategic leader of your area to the Board of Directors.

Fundraising: Soliciting donations, identifying potential sponsors, and networking with donors, supporting events, etc. (see above statement for Financial Commitment).

Public Profile: Serve as an ambassador for the organization: articulate The Alexander Foundation’s mission, accomplishments, and goals, and solicit feedback and concerns related to The Alexander Foundation’s mission.

Develop and maintain a comprehensive marketing plan based on key events/activities related to the Alexander Foundation

Develop comprehensive marketing campaigns to support fundraising efforts, increase awareness of programs, market events, and provide community updates. Modes of communication include (but are not limited to) the following:

Social Media (Facebook and Instagram as a minimum)

Supervise Marketing & Communications Committee consisting of community member volunteers to support the development of marketing and communications.

Support events and other board members with collateral and published materials as needed or requested.

Support Board members in developing personal social media campaigns.
