This program provides emergency grants to those individuals who are experiencing temporary financial difficulties. Emergency grants are intended for purposes such as rent, security deposits, medical expenses, food, clothing, utility bills and other basic living expenses.

 
 

Applicants must be gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgendered, reside in Colorado and pre-approved by a recognized referral agency. Applicants must demonstrate financial need and must not have received an Alexander Foundation emergency grant within the previous 12 month period. The maximum grant is $200

 
 

Emergency grants are processed once a week. Referral agencies must call or fax the Alexander Foundation office to request emergency grants for an applicant. Mailed applications will not be accepted.
